AN inquest has been formally opened into the death of a man whose body was found in Styal.
Lee Kelly, of the Stockport area, died aged 41 earlier this year, it was revealed at an inquest held at Warrington Coroner’s Court on Wednesday.
His body was found in wooded area off Moss Lane, close to Manchester Airport, on April 19.
A coroner’s officer said: “The reason for the inquest is an unnatural cause of death.”
It was heard that Mr Kelly’s identification was confirmed to a police constable on April 22 by his sister.
The coroner officer added: “It is requested that an inquest be opened and adjourned for further work to be completed.”
Jacqueline Devonish, senior coroner for Cheshire, agreed to the request.
She said: “On the evidence I have heard, I am satisfied that the case of Lee Kelly will require an inquest.
“I therefore formally open the inquest and adjourn the case to be heard on July 22.”
